Default arrrrrgh forgot my tweezers today

its typicial of me to do this when I have just been to the bathroom and seen five very black horrid little hairs poking out of my chin and moustache area .... I have been picking away at them all morning as I forgot one of my (many) pairs of tweezers and now i am desperate to get home and get the suckers out ...... I sort of get more anxious hwen I know they are on show ....

Sorry had to rant at that ... roll on 5.30 and I can get them out .... I seem to be growing hairs over night

Oh My! Do you have a pair of scissors? Maybe you can cut them really close so they won't be as noticeable. I keep a pair of tweezers in my car, I can always see more hairs outside in the sunlight than I do at home in my bathroom mirror. Some mornings I sit in my car with the sunvisor mirror down and pluck away all the ones I missed at home. Of course I park where no one can see what I'm doing.

Hope 5:30 comes quick!

I ususally carry a pair of tweezers either in my bag or my pocket and as soon as I see one its out .. but today .. I left them on the window at home !!! arrgh ... I probably have bought thousands of tweezers in my time ..

Does anyone know the best type of tweezer I always get slanted ones but sometimes they just dont get the suckers out or snap them

I have totally been there before!! I even tried using scissors - it didn't work. I am sure no one else noticed, but I was obsessed.

The best tweezers I ever bought were these , but I can't find them now. They were great for getting the hairs as soon as you see them. I have been using these , but they seem to break the hair more and I have to wait longer to pluck them.

(HUGS)

Hey thanks

I tried Tweezerman tweezers before but I found them too bulky in fact I think I have tried ALL the tweezers ... I also bought this so called electrolosis pen .. did it work !! NO ! but it hurt so I got satisfaction of feeling it zap at the hairs even if it didnt do anythign !!

I will look out for those tweezers

Oh I've been down that road before.....I usually start messing around with them until my skin begins to turn pink. It looks great !

5:30 will be here soon, tomorrow you can go back to work nice and smooth, no one will notice the difference. Take care.

I certainly can understand the tweezers. I've got a pair by my sofa, by my bed, in the bathroom, in my car, in suitcase, on my desk at work. I know it's not any comfort to you ladies, but it sure is to me to know others are the same as I...and I'd been blaming it on my good ol' obsessive-compulsion!!!!!! I feel like if I can feel the hairs, then others must be able to see them, and I won't give up until it's gone!!! Before I carried tweezers in my car, I would struggle and use my fingernails to pull, but you don't get near the grip, and then your fingertips will hurt afterward!!! As far as kind I like the best, I'd gotten some from Avon that I really like, that are slanted tip. I've gotten a variety in the past, and really I think every pair (even within the same brand line) is different and gives a different grip. I am starting to wonder...am I now going to get carpal tunnel from all the repetitive plucking!!!????!!!!

I often spend a long time worrying (in fact I have asked my mum and sister to help me out if this ever happens) .. what would happen if I Was to get hurt and end up in a coma I dont want to come round wiht a full on body beard and facial beard .. I have made sure someone will pluck me !!!! it terrifiees me that I may break my arm or somethign and cant get them .. thankfully I have a twin so she is quite aware of the trauma

OMG, ScaredSally! My sister and I have made the same agreement. If something happens to one of us, the other will make sure to shave, pluck or wax any facial hair. I have this horror that I will wake from a coma with a moustache and beard!

Hi...

I, too, run to the window for natural lighting. Amazing how much you miss in the bathroom!

Hugs to everyone who deals with this issue. If you are having trouble finding tweezers, maybe look at drugstore.com or something. Ordering tweezers over the web might sound a little extreme, but I say whatever makes the job easier is a definite "do" in my book.

Bye!

OMG! You guys are cracking me up!!! I thought ""I"" was the only one that obsessed like this. This is a DAILY thing for me and I tell ya, if I can't find my tweezers and there are hairs on that chin, I am DYING SERIOUSLY. DH totally laughs at me and thinks I am like obsessed and psychotic, but let me tell ya, I HATE those things. My tweezers and lighted magnified mirror are my best friends!!

I worry about the same thing, lol. Unfortunately, I do not have someone that I trust enough to disclose this problem or to take care of it for me if something does happen. I've just been praying that as I get a better handle of PCOS over time, that this symptom will go away. Or have electrolysis, if it doesn't.
