Unhappy arthritis in lower back and AF

Has anyone here been diagnosed with arthritis in the sacroiliac joint (lower spine/pelvic area)? I was told that according to my x-ray it looks like I'm in the early stages of it. My goodness, if this is the early stage I don't know if I'll be able to walk in the later stage .
I also noticed that the pain is very bad during AF. I had to stay home one day this week because the pain was too much. And now after reading some earlier threads about lower back pain, I'm wondering if this is just arthritis or if endometriosis is in the picture.
Anybody with this type of arthritis? And does it hurt worse during AF?

I hope you can get some relief soon... did they give you any medications, especially when AF is around if it hurts that bad??

Thanks for responding Bertie.

The only medications I've been taking is Orudis (4 - 12.5mg tabs as one dose) and Propoxy (Darvocet), which I normally take at night.

I've been on a variety of pain meds for the past 1 1/2 years (last one was Bextra, I think) and they would all work for about 2 weeks then stop . These were prescribed for the bursitis in both of my hips. I decided that I would not take them anymore unless I was in a lot of pain. And I did take them when I stayed home, but they helped a little. I got better relief from one of those Playtex heated patches used for cramps.

At my last orthopedic appt my doc said to try weight loss and some back exercises given to me in a 'back pamphlet' he got from a seminar he recently attended. I've only done the exercises a couple of times. Getting on the floor to do anything has become painful. But I'm still willing to try those exercises and a few I found on the net for low back problems. My next goal is to find a water aerobics class to see if that helps.

I tell you, if it ain't one thing..
