 article on reducing blood clots while on the bcp!!!!
I found this while researching a way to stay safe and have decreased clotting risk that is uped when on the bcp. Right now I have been on desogen and it has made me clot paranoid. this is a great thing to hear. I am going to take it. also my gyno put me on baby aspirin when i was pregnant and had edema, and i had no clots . and layed around all day.  Will aspirin interact negatively with birth control pills? Drs. Roizen and Oz say: Think the two might mix as well as ketchup and hot fudge? Well, aspirin and birth control pills might be just as effective a pair as Fred and Ginger. We don't know of any negative or harmful interactions between birth control pills and aspirin. In fact, since estrogen increases the tendency to clot, we tell patients to take two baby aspirin a day before taking their birth control pills, in order to decrease the tendency of blood clotting in veins and arteries. Just one warning: Estrogen can increase blood pressure in some people by increasing a hormone produced in the kidney; rarely, aspirin can make such an increase worse. So if you take birth control pills, you should have your blood pressure regularly monitored. What about all the talk of increasing the risk of blood clots? Many studies have found that there is a slight increase in the formation of blood clots in women who take birth control pills. Even though there is debate ongoing regarding whether the newer birth control pills (known as third-generation pills) increase that risk even more, overall, blood clots appear to be increased by about 50% when compared to women who do not take birth control pills. One way you can decrease this risk is to take a baby aspirin once a day. It has been shown for many years that aspirin decreases blood’s ability to clot. The amount of aspirin in a baby aspirin (81 mg) is enough to reduce this increased clotting risk in women on birth control.

mutivitamin,zinc,and just added desogen bcp for my acne.hope i clear up.
