Pretty funny article, but with a few bits of misinformation.
"Splenda" as included in commercially made soft drinks, etc. has no calories or carbs. this is a liquid form of the sweetener that is only available to commercial interests as far as I know.
The granular kind for baking and the stuff in the packet that they call the "no calorie sweetener" has calories AND carbs due to the sugars (dextrose and maltodextrin) they add to give it granular form for measuring.
for those who care (who use it in baking and need to account for it):
1 cup=24g carbs.
1 tsp=0.5g carbs.
1 tbsp=1.5g carbs
each packet (measures differently than granular for baking)=0.5g
I don't remember the calorie counts off the top of my head.
