Don't know what's up...but since I started either my Actos or my aspirin, my hair is falling out in clumps...it's crazy...my hair was fine until then

OMG! I know what you mean. I posted on the Met board about this. I noticed a clump is gone since I started Met (and/or Clomid, I am not sure which is to blame).
Maybe we are on to something since Met and Actos are both diabetic drugs, but they work differently so I don't know if it is fair to compare them. I went on aspirin therapy awhile back for high cholesterol, and my hair was ok then, so I am thinking it is probably not the aspirin.
I am HOPING that if it is from the Met, that it has lowered my testosterone levels, and caused a new hair growth cycle to start, and I'll re-grow more healthy hair.
I'll have to do some more research. Does anyone else have any insight?

4th cycle: Clomid as above, 3 back to back IUIs--BUST
5th cycle: Clomid as above, non-stop bleeding,no O--- BUST
11/16: moving on to IVF........

Sorry for replying to my own reply, but I think I found out why my hair fell out. I just went to www.hormonehelpny.com, and there is a section on alopecia. It talks about how women's hair falls out after childbirth bcuz there is less estrogen. I just came off BCPs to TTC, so there you go, that is the reason my hair is falling out, bcuz my estrogen level is low now. My original cause of hairloss was when I went off the BCP, then I got acne and gained a ton of weight in a really short time, stopped getting my period, and found out I had PCOS.
Regina, can you think of a reason why your estrogen level may have dropped?
