I've heard of putting crushed aspirin (mixed with a little water) on a pimple. I've also read that you can do the same with baking soda. Is there anything that CAN'T be done with baking soda?! All you need is baking soda or duct tape and you can solve any problem!

this aspirin mask is intended not just for the immediate area of the pimple but to be applied to the entire face...it helps greatly with the inflammation and redness and also exfoliates gently. Don't give up after the first try if you peel a little bit, that shows that it's doing it's job. Like anything else worthwhile, you can't expect miracles in 30 minutes....a few weeks of using this every few days is necessary to give anyone who tries it a true picture of what it can do for their particular skin. Those who dislike this recipe are usually the ones who will try it once and leave it on for 5 minutes and then decry it as a useless regimen because it did nothing for their skin. They don't realize that nothing will work instantly after only one try....

ok, i'm done ranting! can you tell that i was irritated by something?

Have done it once so far, definately hasn't done any harm and I did have lovely soft skin after so I will continue to see if it helps the acne.

Responding to moon_shadow, my husband has been using just baking soda mixed with water to clean his face each morning and night, and his skin looks FANTASTIC. He also used a little paste he kept on all through the night on a skin tag that came up under his eye. It fell off in a couple of weeks of him doing this at night. I read about these things on the Health Boards ( http://www.healthboards.com ). I tried washing with it, but it doesn't seem to get my makeup off fully.

I read about this online somewhere about 2 weeks ago when I was researching home remedies for razor burn/bumps, so I started it the very next day. If you apply the paste immediately after you shave (I have to) and leave it on for about 30 seconds or so, it cuts down on the breakout. And I have had none of the burning sensation, lots less redness, and my skin is softer. I don't know if this is a result too, but I have noticed that the hair is not growing back nearly as thick or fast either. So far no negative effects, so I'm gonna keep this up as long as I have good results.

Just thought I'd put in my 2 cents.
