The whole baby aspirin thing is a huge debate among doctors. Some say it's helpful, some say it makes no difference, and others say that it can actually hurt your chances of conception.
I take an 81mg aspirin (equiv of a baby aspirin) per day. I do this because I have a blood clotting problem that may have caused my 2 m/c's. My doctors want me on it indefinitely, and then I'll add in a prescription blood thinner once I get a BFP.
Other doctors tell their patients to use it to help with implantation. I often hear that it is recommended when you are doing IVF.
I bought a huge bottle of 81 mg coated aspirin at Costco (their Kirkland Signature brand). It is not baby aspirin because you swallow it and don't chew it. It was pretty cheap (maybe $7 or so, I don't remember) and the bottle came with 400 of them. I have had no stomach side effects or anything from taking one per day.
Good luck,
Shari

Rani--Those will be fine. I'm not sure if you have to chew them. I would say to go ahead and let them dissolve or chew them since that is the way they were intended to be used. It probably makes no difference, but it may help to break it up in your mouth.

....Just to let you know, I did the same thing(bought children's aspirin) and my RE said it was not the same thing. When they say "baby" aspirin they don't mean children's, they mean "small or low dosage" which they carry in adult strength in any aspirin section. A widely used brand would be St. John's 81mg low dosage aspirin. My RE laughed at me when I told her I was using them when she told me to start. Daily therapy of one low dosage aspirin has been reported to prevent heart attacks and also increases blood flow in the uterine areas and to help prevent miscarriages by keeping the blood nice, thin and flowing. They are good to use for heart health even if you are not trying to conceive. I got 180 bottle of St. John's for like $5+ something at Kroger. I take one a day. They are so tiny, just a tad bit bigger than a bc pill.
