Default Aussie/Kiwi Updates PLEASE!

Hi Girls
It is just sooooo quiet here!!!! How is everyone going? Please give us a brief run down on how things are going for you right now (PCOS and non-PCOS related).

I have been really busy for the last week or two so haven't been around the boards much.
I have been to see my ob/gyn about ttc #2 and I am now taking metformin. I really want to lose some weight before ttc so I am taking met and will see him again 15/07. My goal is to lose 10kg by then (I've lost 2kg so far). He will then do tests to see if I am ovulating and perhaps add clomid if I'm not.
Lachlan is doing really well. Don't have any photos to update you with but can tell you that he is a boisterous little boy !! He has 8 teeth, pulls himself up and walks around the furniture and chats non stop. He's lovely!

I have been going to the gym 4 - 6 times per week in an endeavour to get fit........and it's working, I feel really good.

So..............how are all of you doing??????

Amy

Hey Aussie & Kiwi Cysters!!

Firstly, Amy way to go loosing 2 kgs!! Is that just from the metformin? I really want to be on that stuff, but I don't think my dr wants to let me have it! Also, the gym, you go girl!! I am so lazy at the moment, I should have my big butt walking around the block but I just couldn't be bothered right now. I know I should be as every little bit helps in the long run to have a baby.

Well, I haven't been doing to much lately. Have just gotten AF after my second IUI attempt, so I am really down at the moment because of that. We are finally all settled into our new unit (only taken 2 months!) and I am loving it!! Have also had a huge fight with a friend so I am trying to take my mind of that crap by being on here all the time. I really have to start doing something else other than sitting online!! Maybe one day I will get out my scrapbooking stuff and finally do some more photo albums!!

We are pretty sure that I am suppose to be starting injections this cycle, but have had no meeting with the doctor about it, surely he wouldn't just give me the stuff like tomorrow and say here ya go, do the shots LOL Cause if he does, I will be running!!

Anyway, sorry for going on so much about the TTC thing, I am just really down and trying to keep myself going so I don't completely bottom out!!

Hope everyone else is well, and yeah this board is so quiet at the moment, where is everyone??

Hugs to all
Mandi

Hi Mandi & Amy,
Still here, sort of in a lurking phase lately. Maybe others are feeling the same? Anyway, good to hear how you are both going, and hope this thread kicks off a bit of action at our forum, it has been quiet. We all should chat and catch up more often, guess it's our busy lives. Looking forward to hearing how all the other Aussie and Kiwi cysters are doing.
Take care everyone, and good luck with whatever you're doing.
Rhon

Ps: congrats on the weight loss Amy, fantastic!

Talking UPDATE...

Hi everyone!

I've still been around, just a bit quiet is all! Good to hear from you guys though...

I had my ultrasound on Friday just gone and it was great! (attached a copy!) Bubby is measuring about 12 days behind and was being stubbon and not moving into a position for the tech to do all the measurements, so I might have to have another one in a couple of weeks (sounds good to me!).... We didnt find out the sex this time, but we might if I have another scan - we're still undecided about if we want to know!!

I'm somewhere between 17 and 19 weeks and I still haven't gained any weight, even though I've been eating like a horse!!! But my tummy is growing - clothes don't fit anymore... Bubby is active too! I haven't had any big kicks, that you can feel on the outside yet though...

Looking forward to hearing everyone elses updates!!!

Talking Good afternoon

Hi ladies. Hows things over your side of Australia? Things arent too bad here in the West! Russ has been working a lot lately as he is a shutdown coordinator for the HBI plant (BHP Billiton) here in Prt Hedland and the plant keeps breaking down, hence why he has been busy!

Riley is gettig huge, he is 2 on 6 July. My family are coming up for a week so I cant wait until I see them, I have only seen them once since Feb, and I used to live around the corner- its hard to get used to! He is so active, and he is the height of a nearly 3 year old- he is a giant, all his friends come up to his chin! Love him lots though- hes precious.

Weve been TTC 2 for just over 18 months now- its getting frustrating! Just finished first round of clomid, I O'd which is great. Im 6 DPO so the 2WW is dragging on. Im trying not to get my hopes up but my chart looks great. I will be so diappointed if Im not pg this month- but I shouldnt be like that as it could take a few goes on Clomid. If anyone wants to look at my chart and tell me what they think it will be greatly appreciated!

Also in the midst of planning our wedding (finally tying the knot) in April next year. At least its taking my mind of TTC for some of each day! If Im not pg, then we will only do clomid once more, then take a break until November, as I dont want to be huge for the wedding!

GL to everyone else in what they are doing!

Post Hi everyone

Hi there! I don't often post here (a bit of a lurker as well), but you guys have been very supportive when I have, so I thought I'd give you an update.

Very happily, I am now 8 weeks pg!! I had a scan 2 weeks ago, and saw the h/b- very exciting. Am having another scan in two weeks time. (I am very nervous about this as I am hoping everything is ok- not that anything has happened to make me think otherwise- just a worrier!).

So apart from the tiredness, nausea, and big bbs I am very happy! Actually, I don't mind the symptoms so much as it means that everything is ok!

Angela

Hi all

I havent been here for a while...I think the whole wealth of information just overwhelms me!!

A few small things to update. My wedding is in exactly 6 weeks so I'm stressing out big time about that! Still quite unorganised and lots to do. Havent even booked the photographer and my wedding cake maker just told me what we want she cant do. Grrr!! But I live in a smallish town so it's all cool.......

My weight issues are going OK I guess. Im still trying really realy hard to be good, but what can I say? I LOVE CAKE!! Given up on the WW meetings as they were a bit too expensive so trying to follow it from home.

After being on a higher dose of Met for three months as promised, my GP has refered us to specialist to get me some clomid! YAY! DF has to have an SA and all this takes time as we live 1 1/2 hours away from the collection centre so we're leaving it all until after the wedding. Then we'll get it all sorted and and start getting serious. And I hate to be negative but I just get so sick of people saying to me "Oh that's when it will happen you know, when you relax and stop stressing about it". I just feel like screaming "Luvvy!! I cant relax myself to ovulate mate!!". Sorry, Im mid-cylce and no eggies to meet the swimmers!! Don't mean to be bitter!!

I've started my new job as a family day carer and I'm just loving it! Some of the children can be quite challenging but it's very worthwhile and quite rewarding. I taught a bubba how to wave good bye the other day so I'm loving it more and more each day! I have some great kids and we all get along really well. Finnlay is a bit territorial but thats to be expected and she's going alot better than I could have ever hoped. Sharing her toys is fine by her (she has her own special ones in her room which is out of bounds) but we're having a few problems with taking turns. But we're working on it!

Oh thats it from me. It was almost like a novel! Tollee - the picture is so cute. Biggest congratulations and I hope you are going well and feeling those amazing movments alot more!!

hi amy

well i havent being here much at all.

i had my operation for my gallbadder and stones removed last wednesday night. everything went well. i was in hospital for 4 days last week and 6 days pror to that 2 weeks ago.

i'm sore but doing well.
I go to see the fertily dr on th 25th of July to ttc 2. I don't need to lose anymore weight becuase I am under weight. But I think I will be told to wait agian maybe not who knows! I have had my af every two weeks for the last 8 weeks.

lily- is walking around the furniture, talking and just a blessing. She is one soon! my goodness she grew while I was in hosptial.
She is such a sweet girl to everyone I can believe it.
Last MOnday night she was hiding from the Dr who was looking after me, but when she came up the dr was gone and she looked like she was disappointed. The dr said she could play with her all night lol!

Anyway I think that's it. Congrualtions amy on your weight loss!
Give lachie a cuddle!

Hi girls

It was great to read how everyone is going. I'm still here, on and off. Life is just so busy at the moment and I've not had the time to get on here and see what has been going on!

My PCOS is going well I think. I'm on Metformin still and also am on my first month of Yasmin. I was on Levlen but was finding that I was extremely emotional and I wanted to try something else. I'm going to give Yasmin a chance, but so far, I think the emotions are worse. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that I think it's causing depression. I don't have another appointment with my specialist until August, so I'm going to talk to my GP when I see her next and see what she has to say. Life is going so well that I have nothing to be depressed about, so I can only put the feelings and major mood swings down to the pill.

I joined Weight Watchers with my man (he has been going for over 12 months now) and have lost an amazing 14.9 kgs in something like 6 weeks. I have NO IDEA how I've done it but I have a feeling the pill has something to do with it. When I attempted to lose weight previously, I had so much trouble, but I wasn't on the pill then. I am now, and it's just falling off. I still have a way to go, but I'm confident that I can do it this time.

My personal life is excellent .... Jeremy and I got engaged last weekend I'm soooo excited and happy and can't wait until we have our own home and are married. I just have to be patient .. not my forte.

I've rambled enough. Would love to hear how everyone else is going.

Julie xo
