Once again, I need some help (i'm such a needy person aren't I? LOL).
I really want to know where any of you more cuddly girls have found maternity wear. I'm starting to think that you obviously can't be pregnant if you are over the size of 18!
My problem at the moment is i'm bloated and while my larger clothes are fitting around my stomach, the rest of it looks like i've just dressed myself out of a potato sack! I found one top in Target that fits great, and I have some room to move around my stomach, but still fits my top half, but it only came in one colour (black) and really is for winter (3/4 sleeves, in thick stretchy material). I tried on other styles in the same size (18) but of course, none of them fitted, all too small or right size, but no room to grow (I want them to last a little while, and not have to buy heaps!)
So, can anyone point me in the right direction of somewhere I can get something to wear (like size 20-22) in Brisbane? Or even in Sydney since we will be down there in April, I might be able to shop while down there?
Well I was going to suggest Target, as I found their maternity clothes to be a bit bigger... I'm normally a 14-16 and I bought a 16 maternity skirt that didn't fit me till the very end of my pregnancy... And a nice t-shirt (16) that I got from there too that I didn't wear at all cause it was too big... I acutally ending up buying some tops and jeans from there in size 12!
I was actually really lucky in that a girlfriend lent me all her clothes so I didn't have to buy much...
Sorry couldn't be any more help!!! Have fun shopping!

PS I love your new avatar - those little feet are so cute!!!

At the moment i'm still in normal bra's (underwire) but i'm sure finding it hard to want to keep them on!! I went shopping for a new one the other day, this time without the wire, but I can't find one that isn't all lacey (can't stand the feeling of scratchy lace, especially when they are going to be sitting on something that is touch sensitive all day long!).
I will keep looking in Target, I might find some more stuff, I just wish they didn't have everything for winter out already!!!
at Kmart they have materinty clothes or u could get the 18+ sizes, I have found it really difficult this time around to find nice clothes!! My mum made me skirts but they are to small for me!
at Strathpine they have a maternity shop called Mothers to be or something like that. Also at Aspley they have a maternity warehouse on Gympie Rd! They are a bit expensive!
Also u could try Millers!

I can help! Having gone through this last year i fully understand where you are coming from!
This is where i got my clothes from:
Bras - i stayed in my normal bras till 23 weeks and then went to David Jones to get maternity ones. The lady did a fitting and advised me to get a normal bra and not go into the maternity bras till later on - she suggested 32 weeks. Well, i stayed in them till 36 weeks and then went and got 3 maternity bras fitted. I used these from then till i stopped b/f and then went back into the bras i bought at 23 weeks. I am still using these but am going to go and buy some new underwires shortly.
Clothes - i firstly went to a place called the Big Girls and Maternity Warehouse at Eight Mile Plains. It was good but they had very little in Maternity. I bought some normal clothes from there at 12 weeks which i wore till 24 weeks. I also bought a pair of denim cargo pants from Katies 1626 which were great.
Then i struck gold - there is a place at Waterford - about 3mins drive from the Logan Hospital - it is worth the drive. I got lots of lovely t-shirts (4 in total), 3 pairs of maternity pants, one pair of cargo 7/8 pants and one linen shirt that i used till the birth and 2 weeks after. All the prices are really reasonable and the lady is lovely - she is thin (probably size 12) but during her pregnancies went to a size 22 so she does understand! I did not buy any jumpers cos if you get a good fitting shirt then i found i could wear my normal blazers etc and just leave them open - it was quite satisfactory for work!
Underwear - David Jones and Myer have maternity undies in a full pant or bikini (12.95) but the best buy i got was at the Berlie and Bonds Warehouse sale - they were $6 each.
Hope this helps - i was sad when i put away my maternity gear till "next time"!

PS: We have to meet up for coffee!!!!!!

You wonderful girl!! I will definately be checking out those shops. Thanks for the heads up about the bras too. I kind of felt a bit silly looking at maternity bras when i'm only 13wks, I mean fair enough size is certainly becoming a problem in regards to my current lot, but I don't exactly need to be the maternity ones yet!!
The place you found at Waterford, would that happen to be Joy's Maternity Wear (or something like that?). I actually found an add for that shop a couple of days ago and thought I should give them a try. But since you have said how good they were I will definately be checking them out!!
Thanks again for everyone's help.

ps.. Fee, we definately have to get together soon!! Specially before things start getting even more hectic around here (moving house and a whole heap of other stuff LOL)
yeah, I think it's is called Joy's something something.........I drive past that shop on the way to a friends house and have always wondered what it was like.
I bought all of my maternity clothes at Target. I am a size 18 and I found their clothes a good fit. I also bought a good outfit from Myers - it was expensive but I wore it to death.
I bought my maternity bras there too - they were VERY expensive but worth it I think. I bought a couple from Big W too but didn't find them as supportive.
I hope everything is going really well for you Mandi. I'm on holidays for 2 weeks from this weekend on - when I get back we are definitely getting together (otherwise you will have had this bub before I see you next!!!!).
I am currently CD 29 and have done a hpt (it was negative). Doesn't look like I am going to be one of those lucky girls who falls with #2 in the first month. Never mind - back on the crazy clomid soon.
