Default Austin Fert Center/dr Youngkin

Has anyone been to Dr Youngkin for fertility treatment or as an OB/GYN? I have an RE at the TFC (Hansard), but I'm thinking of consulting elsewhere. He's an OB who does IUI, IVF and continues to monitor his patients through pregnancy. It would mean no referral, so I could try him without having to "leave" my RE.

Any info would help, thanks!!

I actually just started seeing Dr. Y. Obviously I haven't done fertility treatments with him, but I have really enjoyed that office! He is very knowledgable about PCOS, I never feel rushed, the waiting room is very quiet, I get seen on time, the nurses are nice, and it isn't difficult to get an appt. The only drag is that I have to go to a lab for labwork and wait for the results to be sent back.

He also seems very easy to work with. He told me that the current recommendation is to go off Met as soon as you get pg and I told him that I didn't want to because of my family hx of diabetes, being borderline IR and because I felt awful before I took Met. He told me that I would have to make the decision on what I would do. Later DH asked him what we could do to prepare for GD test and he said I was already doing it by being on Met. (I passed on my first try!!)

I also have a neighbor who is a NICU nurse at St. David's and she raves about him. Apparently he is the dr of choice for the nurses which makes me feel good too.
