Kirsten, I am with you - I am not that fussed on either Dan Spillane or James. Even more so with James - i Just can't see what everyone is making a fuss about.
OK who's the guy who sang that 1927 song?? He seems really nice and all but MY GAWD he was terrible last night, talk about Kareoke! Why would he chose such a song??
Anyhoo, Im not too fussed on Milly either, I like her voice but as soon as I see her beady eyes and westie mullet it turns me right off. I know I know, looks dont matter in the real world but it does on Idol!
Roxanne got the boot last night, I wasn't much of a fan. Her voice grated on me a little.
I really like Kate, she is the blonde one from Bendigo. I think she has the best voice of the lot and she is so much more down to earth and relaxed than the others.
Do you know she has lost 30kgs to try out for idol.....inspiring.

I agree than Daniel Spillane and James need to go. Kate did the best job on Sunday night, though I still think Dan was great (HOW can you not like him??!!!). Lee had a HUGE shocker singing a Greenday song that he knew nothing about the meaning (although he did look and sound good, I thought).

I missed it too because of the footy....but saw a bit of the replay on Monday arve.
I thought Dan was great this week (you'll be please to know Deb ; )).....I didn't see many of the others. Lee was SHOCKING!!!
I'm glad Roxanne is gone too.....just not my cup of tea.

I missed the elimination again - Hope it was Lee that was sent packing - His greasy hair was enough to turn me off! Or I'd be happy if it were Daniel S - he's a shocker too...
Still think Anne and Emily do the best job, Dan with the dreads is ok too....

Well if you'd replaced Dan with Daniel S in the bottom 3 then I'd say they were right where they should have been... I'm kinda glad Dan was there without being kicked off though - more people will probably vote for him now (although he really didn't do his best performance that night - looked sooooooooo nervous and didn't connect with the audience at all - don't think he liked big band much). I really liked the big band special and my fav's for the night were Kate, Emily, Anne and Lee (yes, LEE - I thought he did a great job!). I think as the weeks go by Kate is getting better and better and could well be a contender to win. At this point it really does depend on the week - Dan was very disappointing this week and I just don't think they can afford to have an 'off' week any more.

I liked Lee and Emily last night. Most of the others were just boring - come on where were all of the great 80's songs???!!!! The 80's wasn't all about just boring ballads.

Yeah i agree where was all the fun stuff from the 80's... I thought Emily was great.. if not the best on the night so i was totally shocked when i saw her in the bottom three.. My bottom three for this week would have been james, Daniel S and Dan E.. its not that i don't like them its just i thought they weren't as good as the others last night..
And Lee's performance... loved it.. When i first heard that he was doing his own version of eye of the tiger i just rolled my eyes and thought that he was going to stuff it up.. But i was really entertained by his version.. He's not the strongest singer but he certainly knows how to make you smile and really enjoy a performance.. You can tell he loves what he's doing to and i think that will make a difference .. not necessarily in the competition but after that too.. And wasn't his drummer great ...?
I really enjoyed Lee's Eye of the Tiger too! I was the same as you Seren, at first, thinking - what a crap, cleche song to pick, but he did a great job! Really entertaining.
I didn't think any of the rest of them were that great (mind you I missed the begining so I didn't see Emily, so can't comment there).
