Is anyone out there on Avandamet? I am trying to lose weight, and was prescribed this drug. I am insulin resistant and have PCOS. Any information would be appreciated.

Ive been on it for 6 months and nothing has changed. My doctor is just trying to find something that works. Best of luck to ya though. Sorry I could not be any more help.

I've been on it since April 2003. I've lost 15# without even thinking about what I was eating or exercising. But I've stalled at 212 (227 in April) I need to sart riding my bike. Well my random glu. was 117 my last appt (nov) it was 95. Since it's working he wouldn't up my dose(2mg/500mg). The first week was the worst , I had a lot of upset tummys and was in the bathroom a little more than normal. Now my only problem is remembering to take it. I only take 1 a day.
