Hi there everyone!!! It's been a whie since I posted and things aren't going much better. I did get into see Dr Orzeck who is wonderful so maybe that's a good sign. Of course all my blood work was wacky! He immediately put me on Avandia and Vytorin. I had to stop taking the Vytorin almost immediately because of severe muscle cramps but I am still on the Avandia. My question is this.....Did (or do) any of you taking the Avandia experience severe nausea??? Nausea is becoming a state of being for me!!!! I am always nautious. ALWAYS!! I've been very careful to take it at the same time everyday and to eat several small meals so mu blood sugar doesn't drop but I feel over all like poo-poo! Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've been taking 2mg of Avandia for a little over a week and have had no problem with nauseousness...and, typically, everything makes me sick. I'm right with you on that one!!!

The first few days I felt really thirsty and tired...but that may not have been a side effect from the drug???

How many mg are you on. Maybe you should try cutting back and gradually increasing the dose.
