i just started taking avandia last week and was wondering if anyone else taking it had experienced any side effects...particularly pounding heart??? i also started taking prinivil around the same time and have since stopped because i *suspect* the pounding heart feeling was caused by that. but im not certain. i forgot to take the avandia after i stopped taking the prinivil so i dont know which med it may have been. so i started taking the avandia again today. i will see what happens. in the meantime if anyone experienced any side effects other than what i mentioned, what were they??? thanx.

i have been on avandia for a month now and i have absolutely no side effects! i hope it is working!

Yes it can cause anxiety.

Gluc does it to me. Talk to the DR about it, they may need to adjust your dose. I can't go above 1500mg of Gluc for that reason. Even now, being off the Gluc for a week, I'mstill having terrible anxiety attacks that are totally new to me starting this Jan.


I don't take well to long term anti deprss or anxiety meds.
So I was able to talk my Dr into Xanax for when thigs get bad.
I don't take it daily, maybe once or twice a week.

For your tummy, try taking it at a dif time of day.
Ask for a RX for Acidfex, it works dif than most of the other tummy meds available.

They gave it to me so I could take it with an antibiotic.
