Awesome smoothies My Dh and I have started making smoothies. They make a WONDERFUL breakfast or a quick lunch too. They are really filling and DELICIOUS!
We went to Costco and bought Big Valley Frozen Fruit (blackberries, rasberries & blueberries), fresh bananas and Mango vanilla low fat vanilla yogurt. We add some 1% milk and a scoop of whey protein (about $22.00 for a 1 Kg pail that lasts forever).
Blend together:
1 banana
1 cup frozen or fresh berries or fruit
3/4 c yogurt
1 c 1% milk
2 scoops whey protein
This makes enough for a big glass for Dh and I each and small glasses for our 2 kids...I would guess about 4 cups or so.
Each 1 cup servings has approx:
123 calories
1.82 grams fat
17.3 grams carb
11.8 g protein
2.5 grams fiber
