I have been on met for close to 12 months now - with regular cycles starting 31 days after my first dose of met.
Just before christmas I had AF - but over 8 wks later - nothing! I did a HPT and it was neg.
So I was wondering if this had happened to anyone else? I havent changed the way I eat, exercise ect. Same amount of stress and everything. i just dont get it! Why now after 10 ish months?
Thanks

Well, I noticed when I forgot to pick up my refill, I missed about 4-5 days of met... it caused my AF to be late... by a couple of days. Have you missed any days of met before your cycle was due?
I wouldnt have any other suggestions but to ask your doctor to do some more tests and maybe an ultrasound...
Good luck and keep us updated.
Take care,
katt.

I havent missed any pills - and af is late by about 6 - 7 weeks now. AF has been really regular for the last 10 months (like every 28 to 29 days). So I just dont get it
I guess I will just have to make time to go to the doctor this week!
Thanks Katt, I will let you know what the doc says *when* I go.

I hope you can get this figured out. My periods remained 28-65-ish days for my first year on met until I started moderating my carbs, but maybe a round of bloodwork would tell you where your hormones are and shed some light on this for you.
Good luck at the Dr.

I went to my Dr yesterday, and today I had bloodwork done, so I should know by friday what is going on.
She (my Dr) thought my testostrone may be high- that being the cause of my AF problem.

I am constantly praising glucophage. However, this month she's missing in action. I get cramps as if she's coming. I even get them in my lower back, but she has not appeared as yet. But I,too, am to blame for this. I haven't been taking my pills regularly as I should.
Sammie,
I too had AF disapear for a while. I still am not sure what caused her to go..... I had been having AF every 27-31 days and then over 60. I wasn't eating as low carbs as I was previously, but not bad either. Any way now she is back, but coming every 21 days. Ahhgg. I still don't know what is going on. But I have an appointment in March, so I will have all the labs checked and find out where I stand.
Sorry I am not more help, I just thought I would let you know you are not the only one.

I went to the doc the other day - she ran all sorts of tests, as well as a beta test for a pg. It appears that I was pg - maybe 3 or 4 wks, and the baby stopped growing.
I had a D & C day before yesterday, and seem to be doing better, at least I am eating again, and am not as tired all the time.
Thanks to everyone for the support.
