Ayone experiencing Anxiety or depression on Metformin?

I just started metformin a week ago. I'm finally up to 500mg 2x/day. Feeling weepy and disconnected. I'm also on my 3rd day of my period which doesn't help. At least I don't have cramps for the first time in 21 years...Yippee. But I'm at home with my 3 year old son and feel completely disconnected.
