I see alot of you have lost weight with MET -
PLEASE HELP !!!
I am now on 1000mg of MET and can still eat what I want - what should I be eating to lose weight?
I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to eat certaing things - granted sometimes I get messed up on greasy foods..
I am 40 and TTC on just MET for right now - until the Dr. finishes testing...I'd like to loose some weight too - again PLEASE HELP....
PCOSers need to eat to control their hormones..and the best way to do that is to eat to keep insulin (the major hormone) in check.
I did that with the Insulin Resistance diet and it's been a HUGE help with the meds. Not only did my hormones normalize after years of meds and high #'s, the side effects from the drug disappeared when I started eating better too.

I have been following the boards for a couple of years now and have read your very impressive story....
Thanks for getting back with me on this issue....can you please give me a sample menu that you follow - I know you have done this in the past for people, but I haven't been around for a while....plus....
I have gotten married again - last November - and we are nowTTC - I am 40 so I don't have alot of time...

The link I gave you has sample menus...as does the book. You just need to pick protein sources that you like and make sure you balance the carbs you eat with protien.
I like crab, so a sample lunch for me would be to bake some crab, wrap it in a whole grain tortilla with cheese and veggies and it is fully linked and balanced.
Also check out the IR Diet support thread. The ladies there will have tons of info.
