i think you have to take B12 because it can deplete your own. not sure why, but it's one of the side effects i've read up about.
i don't know for sure the dose you should take, but i think it's around 1000mg. ask your pharmacist what a good dose would be, they should know.
you've actually reminded me that i should be taking extra. i'm vegetarian and have actually had B12 deficiency already (not due to met), so i need to be extra careful.
i'll go and get a high dose tomorrow.
