Thread: Baby Caleb needs your prayers

Thanks ladies for all your prayers. He should have come home yesterday. I am waiting until a little later today to call my brother and confirm, I will update when I know!

Ladies,
Thanks for all your prayers. Caleb was to have come home on the 16th. My brother got a call around 6am that morning that Caleb's heart rate had increased to 220 and he had to be put back on the iv's etc. They were going to run some tests.
My mom called me on Monday and said that what the doctor's though was an enlarged heart was actually and enlarged ventricle with 'extra electrical activity'. This was what was causing the surge in the heart rate. Surgery, medication or let the heart grow to the size of the ventricle, are the 3 options. He is doing well on the medication, so I believe that is what they will follow. The hope is that he will come home today.

I'm glad they caught this before he came home. Praying that the medicine takes care of things and he is fine!
