I had a dream last night. In it, there was a girl, maybe in her mid-twenties, who was so depressed from wanting a baby that she could not leave the building we were in to retrieve something from her car. Infertility had left her very broken and immobile.
Anyway, in the dream I offered to go get the object (can't remember what it was) out of her car for her. On the way out I said a prayer for her because obviously I've been there (not being able to function well due to IF depression).
When I woke up, I started thinking of the people I pray for who want kids. And I thought sheesh! I should start a baby prayer list.
I've always loved the movie Sally and St.Anne, and even though I'm not catholic, I do believe in the power of intercessory prayer. So somehow I decided that I should, since I was already saying prayers for some close IF friends, add to the list by asking everyone on this board if they would like me to pray for them.
I know there's already a prayer chain as a sticky but I am really just hoping to get a list of names and not necessarily write a reply to each post. Not that I'm not interested in the details , but it will be easier to read for me (and write on a piece of paper which I plan to carrry around with me all day) and anyone else who wants to join in and pray for each other as well. Please just list a first name and a brief sentence.
I'll guess I'll start since I pray for these people regularly:
Margaret-a great friend who would love a healthy baby girl
Lou Anne-a sweet person who would also love a healthy baby
D-who is full of love and has waited a long time to have kids
Me-who would love a healthy baby girl to watch over my aut boy

That is such a beautiful idea, i'm sure many of the ttc ladies will be grateful and join in. Not many people I know are religious so I think you will be the first person to pray for me, thank you

My dh Tony and I are schedulled for our 2nd IVF in or around the 19th of April (egg retrieval)
I would dearly love to become a mother - and I know Tony and I could be good and loving parents.

P.S. Could I ask about the film you mentioned thing Sally and St. Anne -what was it about. I wouldnt mind seeing it. I know St. Anne is the Mother of Our Blessed Lady. I am Catholic btw and I didnt know until just before our 1st IVF that its against the Catholic Church. However, I feel no matter what we do with regard to medicine and technology, God is the giver of life.

Luckily, the above website's plot summary of the movie does not do it justice. I think it's one those movies that is spoiled if you know the story line before actually seeing it. Though it won't hurt you to know it's about a girl who has a special friendship with St. Anne.
Unfortunately, I don't know if you would be able to rent/buy it. I could not find it on Amazon.com or any other website. Hmm... there might be a slight chance that one of our tv stations might run it this week, being St. Patrick's day tomorrow, but I can't say for sure. Sorry, I know that doesn't help you any...
The last time I saw it was about ten years ago (on late night tv), but it's touched me so much that it's very vivid in my mind. I hope you can find it, it definitely has a very powerful message of having to wait for something you desperately want and see others getting what they want left and right. Oops, well now I've gone and spoiled it!

I just wanted to add 1 small comment - I'm adding all of your names to my journal so that I remember to pray for everyone at least 1x day. I would love it if we could update either here - or the 1st one w/prayer answered could start a new thread.
