Baby4us04 Hello!!! My name is Renee and I'm new to this board! I just had a few questions after reading about you taking the soy and Clomid. Well, here is my situation: I got off BCP in Jan 2003 and had (what I thought was AF) for 5 months. Tested those 5 months with the OPK's and got surges. Come to find out, I wasn't O'ing and it was annvolutory bleeding. When June rolled around, no more bleeding. That's when I saw a RE. I was also found to be IR, diagnosed with PCOS and put on Glucophage XR 500mg/day. I took Clomid 100mg in July and I O'ed. I also had an HSG done in July and I had a uterine septum so ttc was put on hold. In Aug 2003, I had Laparoscopy and hysterscopy done to fix the uterine septum and lasered a few tiny spots of endo. My levels stay normal on 500mg/day, so nothing has been said about increasing my dosage of Glucophage. I'm wondering if that will help me O on my own? The only problem I have now is ovulation defect. I have read that taking Vitex doesn't do PCOSers any good because it raises the already high levels of LH. I was beginning to wonder if I really had PCOS, but I have all the symptoms, plus the many times that I have had vaginal ultrasounds, there were multiple tiny cysts all over both my ovaries. And, my skin is oily, excess hair, and some IR. I guess that's why I kept thinking I was O'ing those 5 months after BCP when I got the positive surges-due to PCOS. I want to try the soy and/or Vitex, but would like to know your advice to me on this. I see that you take Vites and the soy and got pregnant. Did you take them at the same time? Also, how long did you take Clomid and what was the dosage you took? I really look forward to hearing from you!!! Thanks so much. (((HUGS))) Renee. |
