Ladies, it's been along time; but i'm back again. I felt fun coming here after having my son in 2002 so I stopped visting the message board. However; my PCOS is back with a vengance. I had to have an emergency hysterectomy in June of 2006 and my OB/GYN decided it would be best to leave my ovaries in because I'm only 32 yrs old. Well, since that surgery I've gained so much weight. I've consulted an endocronologist and he found an adrenal adenoma and he sent me to a urologist to discuss having that removed. well, the urologist thinks I need a second opinion in the endo department because I did develop thyroid disease after the birth of my son. But, the urologist has a student with him and he mentioned something about women who have PCOS and have there uteruis take out can devlop some syndrome which caused sudden weight gain. Currently, I do have a 4 cm left ovarian cyst/mass that has grown each month, but my GYN (of 13yrs) does not seem to be very concerned about it. Does anyone know what syndrome this student could of been talking about.
I guess after lossing 130 after the birth of my son and then gaining most of it in these than 7 months has really gotten to me. my PCP has put me on STD because I just can not function normally.
Sorry if I've bored you to tears I'm just at a complete loss and my urologist is the only doctor that agrees that there is a problem, but obviously this is not his area of expertise.
