Default back hair: let me vent

Ugh. I just need to vent. Feel free to vent with me about your problems...

For some reason I just don't look at my back very often...but the other day i looked in the mirror and got a stiff reminder of all my back hair. It's pretty fine, but DARK and only grows in two patches on either side about 2 inches above my bottom. It drives me NUTS. I'm a super poor college kid so I have absolutely zero money for waxing/anything else (even buying razors makes an impact on my income :/ )...it just drives me nuts that it is there. And for that matter, the hair on my stomach is thicker than i've ever seen on another woman's tummy. It makes me feel so unpretty, and i hate it

Concentrate on making sure your personality is attractive and you'll find that people won't bother about the fact that you've got a lot of male-type hair.

Oh honey, I feel you. That post could have been written by me. Back hair, chest hair, stomach hair, facial and lets not even bring up the jungle that is my nether regions. For me, the hair is the worst thing to deal with PCOS, by far.

I use nair for all of that stuff. When I was 17 I paid $1600 of my own money to laser my chest and the top of my back. I was wearing a strapless dress for prom and wanted to be forever hair free....but I still have a buttload of the nasty hair on my stomach back and butt...so nair does the trick. And it doesnt come back for a week or so which is nice.

Try to not let it get you down, I know it is horrible and something you have to deal with that is unfeminine, it doesnt make you unattractive, every woman with pcos has an inner and outer beauty because of what they have to put up with, they are strong women and so are you... I dont know if you have a partner, but whether you do or dont, they will choose or have chosen to be with you because of who you are, because all cysters are unique.. as others have said get a cheap razor and shave it off. ((hugs))

If the "jungle" in the nether regions is causing practical problems -- e.g. with hygiene -- you can bring it into order in seconds with a "beard trimmer", either simply to cut it shorter or to cut it right down to skin level. Better to go for a beard trimmer than for the sometimes-similar-looking "bikini line trimmers" as the former are usually much more robust. Because of the high testosterone levels, pubic hair is usually coarser and thicker in women with PCOS than in other women.
