Default Back to the Natural Route?

Hi, hope someone can give some feedback! When we started TTC I went the Clomid and Met route until December 2004, a year into the game, I switched to accupuncture. By Summer 2005, that didn't seem to be helping so I went to using natural progesterone cream...which only seemed to mess up my cycles then I went to Fertility Blend In December 2005, frustrated, I went to my OBGYN and went back to the medical way of dealing with it all. Had a lap in January - nothing was found, except a blocked cervix which was then found to be wide open in April!!

I started back on Met in April but of course the side effects have been dandy. Not so much an erupting stomach but just blah and sick to my stomach. I also took Prometrium to bring on AF which I guess it made me ovulate because my temp went up! I'm currently on CD 56 (9 DPO). It's so frustrating!

From everything I feel, know, and see my issues are hormonal. My doctor said my blood work barely shows the PCOS, I'm not insulin resistant. A few months ago I bought some Chasteberry (Vitex) tea by Alvita from my natural health store - I also bought a bottle of Female Hormone Blend SP-7C by Solaray. Main ingredients are Black Cohosh, Dong Quai, Passion Flower, Red Raspberry, Fenugreek, Licorice, Cramp Bark, Chamomile, Saw Palmetto, Wild Yam, Butternut, and Kelp. Totals 920 mg.

I haven't used it because I've been on other drugs and didn't want to interfere with those. I'm convinced my current cycle is long because of the Femara/Letrozole - it's my third round, which the first two times worked perfectly.

Just tired of socking away money in medicine and feeling like crap! Any other ideas on how to improve libido and anxiety type symptoms? TIA for any input

I went strict vegetarian (I was calling it vegan, but I still wore leather shoes, and ate honey. And I always got the weird look on people's faces when I said Vegan) I had heard that it was not only found to help people with fertility issues, but other health issues (cancer, nerves, etc)

Anyhow, with that and exercise, it not only increased libido, it regulated my cycles as well. The last trip to the doctor showed all my bloodwork in order.

The site : http://www.800herbdoc.com

is where I found the majority of my information, and also the nutritional supplements I've used.

They suggest a thorough colon cleansing before trying anything else. See if that points you in the way you are looking.

I've researched herbs and their medicinal value for several years. I always knew that I wanted to go the natural route. I hope to eventually get a certification in herbs.

If I remember correctly, black cohosh is something you don't want to take if you are trying to conceive. Yes, the studies show that it may help with regulating the cycles, but after you concieve it can cause complications:

Black cohosh has also been used for menstrual irregularities and premenstrual syndrome, and to induce labor.

per website: http://nccam.nih.gov/health/blackcohosh/

I hope that this helps, or at least points you in the direction you want to go.
