it's official, i have PCOS. i got my prescription for provera and will start that along with the metformin.
i'm starting at 1000mg, and gradually increasing to 2000mg.
if no BFP in 4 cycles we'll be going for an HSG and SA.

BFP 2/26/2009!!
Beta #1 (10dpo) = 23
Beta #2 (14dpo) =173
Beta #3 (16dpo) =373
Beta #4 scheduled for 3/11
1st u/s on 3/19 @ 6w3d- HB found = 123bpm!
2nd u/s on 3/24 @ 7w1d for spotting, all is well, HB = 143 bpm!
Released to the OB!

Good luck! Metformin and Clomid worked for me in 2004 that how I got DD. So keep a postive outlook it might work.

Hi Red Rose,
I was diagnosed on Sept 22nd (4days ago). I totally didn't beleive my RE until he counted 22 cysts on 1 ovary- he didn't even bother counting on the other one. It sucks to be diagnosed but at the same time it's kinda relief eh?

welcome to sc ive been on met for years. I find that as long as i avoid greasy/fatty/sugar foods as much as poss and always eat with the met i am ok with it.

besides the nasty stomach s/e the met has completely killed my appetite. i'm just hoping this part doesn't last long!

it will get better. i do ok unless i realy blow my diet on met. but the first few weeks were tough. keep with it and the s/e should go away
