I wasn't sure whether to post this on the Acne or Met forum, so I've posted it on both, sorry if that is wrong.

I've been on Met for about 2 months now (only 500mg per day) and I've noticed a dramatic difference in my acne - it is so much worse. Has anyone else had the same happen to them? Does it get better once your body gets used to the Met?

I feel like a spotty teenager (I am 28) and feel as though I've taken a backwards step in finding an answer to my problems.

I keep telling myself it'll get better, but each day I see no improvement, in fact it looks worse. I just want to hide my face away as it looks so awful

Yes, mine has gotten worse....but my hormone levels have also gone up since I've been on it too (I don't blame the met, it just hasn't stopped them, that's all)
I'm hopefully gonna be trying spiro soon, see how that helps...

-29 year old female, dx 2005, symptoms ~10 years
-High testosterone, cortisol, aldosterone, androstenedione, free androgen index, no apparent insulin resistance however
-off all hormone meds since having pulmonary embolism in August 2009
-Main symptoms: weight gain (especially annoying in mid-section/abdomen), high androgens, very low progesterone, no periods unless on OC
-fortunate to have very good bp, blood sugar, cholesterol, etc., no hirsutism.
