Red face bad BO and excess sweating anyone?

I am sweating like crazy the past few weeks. It soaked though my shirt and hoody today. All from the armpits. I am careful what fabrics I wear and wear super deoderant which I keep running to the bathroom to apply during breaks but nothing is good enough. It smells bad too. At first I thought it was because I had been under the weather but this is a reocurring thing even when I'm healthy. Is this hormones, mega stress, etc.?? Does this happen to you?

If this is something new, I'd mention it to the doctor. Some people just sweat more than others or it could be hormone related. The doctor can give you a prescription for a special anti-perspirant that will keep you really dry. If that doesn't work and they find no underlying reason why this is happening, you could always get a few Botox injections under your arms which will stop the sweating all together for at least a few months at a time.

Try using Certain Dri at night and follow up in the morning with the AM version.

I second Certain Dri. I wish I'd known while I was in high school - I had pit marks all day, every day!

I've never used the AM version, and my sweating has mysteriously subsided in the past couple months. But I do have certain dri in my cabinet and apply it the evening before something big, like a presentation or going out dancing. You can defintely use it every single day, though - I just don't because it's not a huge problem for me anymore.

Just remember not to shave before you put it on (put it on at night and shave your pits in the morning), and it does itch like crazy for the first 15 minutes or so, at least to me. But it really works and its worth it. Follow in the morning with a few swipes of deodorant and you should be fine. It's pretty amazing stuff.

Yes I've noticed sweating (on feet and armpits) since a few years ago. Many small little things on the way until 1 year after I gave birth to my girl, these symptoms eventually gave way to full blown PCOS. I had thought the sweating is due to weather and humidity but it simply didn't go away even if I literally scrub myself. And I'm not one to sweat or smell since young. Now I believe it's definitely hormone related. Mine is totally out of whack and the sweat is probably one of the least of my problems (even though it is making me totally smelly and damp right NOW). I remember I was paying extra attention to the spaces between my toes and under my breasts as somehow it just feels clammy. please do take lots of care of yourself and do not stress yourself further. This symptom of yours, at least to me, was one of the very first signs of what's to happen to me subsequently.

Thankyou for all your responses and advise. Always glad to know I am not the only girl here with these kinds of problems. My sister happens to have certain dri which she used to use in junior high along with regular deoderant. I was always curious what that was for.

That's why I love SC. Any weird and embarassing body problem, there's bound to be someone out there with the same problem..the reason SC is so great is because no one is shy about talking about weird body things. It makes me feel less like a freak.

Certain Dri is reducing the sweat and BO. I just bought a really nice smelling power fresh adidas aluminum free woman's deoderant to celebrate. Yay! This was something I had problems with in junior high and had a great impact on self-esteem. A friend's mom and her friend sprayed deoderant on me when I was in grade 8. One of those horribly embarrassing moments. So when this problem returned I was dreading it would be here to stay.
Thanks girls.
