My husbnd nd I want to have kids (not now like a year or 2) and i am concerned with passing this horrible thing to my future daughter(s). I so badly want children of my own, but i dont want he o go thru this. I know by the time i have babies and she hits AF time, they should have fund better ways to control or suppress the symptoms, but still. Do any of you worry about this?!?!?!!?

I worry about it a bit (my h2b and plan on ttc'ing end of 2007) but funnily enough i worry more about giving them diabetes than pcos.
But I remind myself that my daughters will be luckier than me ~ they will have mom who is aware of the potential problems and who will therefor make healthy eating and regular fun exercise a natural part of growing up. So that they are so used to it, NOT doing it would be unnatural.
I will also know that i need to take my daughters to the GP as soon as any problems with AF arises so that they can be treated asap.
My mom is wonderful, but when i was younger GP's didn't know about pcos so they only treated the symptoms and not the cause. I will know better.

~I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once~
Sorry you're having a bad day thinking about this. Huggs
Personally, I would not think twice about ttc. There's always that chance that you won't pass this on. And like the other said, 10-15 years down the road, who knows what new treatments might be out. Lib's right, since we know about this, then we can watch for the symptoms.
