Hi Cysters
I was recently referred to Dr. Shala Nader and my experience with her was absolutely horrendous. She has horrible bedside manners. I have thick skin and take pretty much anything, but when you tell me "you have bad genes and you need to get on Jenny Craig" I stop listening. Especially after I explain to you that I still have not lost any weight even though I'm on the insulin resistance diet. She also put me on met and birth control even though I told her those methods weren't working. She was absolutely no help and was very condescending. I would not suggest seeing her.

I have seen Dr. Michael Allon and Dr. James Wheeler and they are amazing. I'm currently seeing Dr. Jeffery Brown, endocrinolgist, who promised me a different treatment plan to beat my insulin resistance. I'll definitely keep you all posted on my progress.

I am in the Kingwood/Atascocita area, near Houston. I am so sorry to hear of your visit with Dr. Nader. The name sounds really familiar to me but I am not sure why. If she did not listen to you, then you should not waste any more of your time. I hope Dr. Brown will be of more help to you. I saw Dr. Allon for the first time yesterday. I am cautiously encouraged but as we have been through this before with no success, it is hard to get too excited. Do you mind telling me why you quit seeing Dr. Allon? Hope to hear from you soon.
