Default Bad lower back pain--cross post

Cysters,

I posted this over in TTC because I just took Clomid, but I haven't gotten much response so I thought I'd post it here as well.

My last period started on Dec. 20. I took 150mg Clomid on days 3-8. On day day 11 my lower back seized up for no apparent reason. Shortly thereafter I started having abdominal/pelvic pain around where my ovaries are. The back pain was so bad I spent most of 2 days in bed at the beginning. It started to fade on Wednesday evening (day 23) and was all but completely gone yesterday (day 26). Then at about midnight it came back worse than ever! I have no idea what's going on with me. Could I be pregnant? I did at HPT last night--negative--but it's probably still too early. Could I have a ruptured cyst or something? Is it just a side effect of the Clomid? I've never had back pain with ovulation or menstruation before. I'm so tired of hurting!

Default Update

Well, I decided to go to the ER just to make sure nothing crazy was going on my with ovaries. I had an ultrasound done and it turns out that I have a very large cyst on my right ovary. I realize that there's not much that can be done about that, but I feel a lot better now that I have some sort of explanation for the way I've been feeling. I have an appointment to see an OBGYN next week. My theory is that the inflamed ovary is somehow causing my back muscles to spasm which is why my back hurts so much.
