Question Bare Escentuals (Bare Mineral) users please come on in!!!

Well...I've been trying to do some research on this product because I noticed so many of you lovely ladies on here are using it and seem to be happy with it!
I have a couple questions that I hope some of you can help me with!

1. What would you rate this product out of 10?

2. Do you use it for coverage or does it help with excess oil as well?

3. Do they have it in dark skin shades for the darker skinned women?

4. Does it have a natural look to it?

5. Is it worth the money?

6. AND last but not least...is there anyone out there that could show me a before and after picture of what miracles it can do??

I have dark circles under my eye where I use a liquid cover (just under the eye that is) and I wanted to know if I use Bare Minerals, I can cut out using the liquid as my face is oily and I dont want to add any more grease feeling stuff to it lol
Also..I have oily skin and I'm hoping Bare Minerals will help Matte the look of my face through out the day!

I LOVE it! And yes, it comes in an many shades.

My skin is oily through the t-zone, and it wears well for me.

It looks VERY natural. I wear it on days when I want to look 'finished', but not like I have a lot of makeup on.

I absolutely love bare minerals! I dont have any pictures of before and after Im sorry. Its actually great for ance too. Its helped dry out those nasty blemishes. My face does get oily but bare minerals actually looks good with a little bit of shine I know it sounds weird but I think it does. A jar usually lasts me about 2 months or so and I use it every single day. So its definitely worth the price!! I hope that helps. I have recommended it to tons of people and all of my family except for my stubborn mother wont change from her liquid. Love it, try it!!

1. What would you rate this product out of 10?

9

2. Do you use it for coverage or does it help with excess oil as well?

I use it for coverage and it's excellent.

3. Do they have it in dark skin shades for the darker skinned women?

I'm of Indian origin so I have medium tan skin. I think I use medium beige in the BE shades.

4. Does it have a natural look to it?

It looks really natural. More than any other foundation I've used.

5. Is it worth the money?

Yes but I don't really care for Warmth, which is like a bronzer. And I don't really like the Mineral Veil either, totally unneccesary.

6. AND last but not least...is there anyone out there that could show me a before and after picture of what miracles it can do??

I'm not comfortable posting pics on the web, sorry! But if you do decide to try it, all you really need is the foundation and the brushes. The starter kit comes with extra stuff that won't really do anything for you.

i find its great for day to day wear (either just with the mineral veil over a different bronzer) or with the full set for full coverage. the concealer and brush are awesome. sephora always has a great deal on the "starter kit", too.

Thanks Ladies! I appreciate all the replies!
So I broke down and bought the SPF foundation in medium dark! Unfortunately, at the Sephora I visited they do not have the starter kit in that shade
So far so good....I pretty much had it on for half day yesterday and I felt that it looked VERY natural and that it helped somewhat with the excess oil!
It really does have great coverage and its soooo easy!!!
I really do want to try out the kit though

Thanks for all the help and information ladies!!

1. What would you rate this product out of 10?

I would probably give this product a 7. It is a good product I just wish that it lasted longer.

2. Do you use it for coverage or does it help with excess oil as well?

I use it for both. It is great for those of us with oily skin because it is oil free. I have an extra thing of mineral veil and when my skin gets oily i just brush it on, you don't have to take the makeup off or re-do it like liquid foundation. Plus the oilyness of the skin improves over time with the use of it. Great for people with oily skin! My skin was horribly oily before i started using it.

3. Do they have it in dark skin shades for the darker skinned women?

Yes and it blends very well. If you get the starter kit it comes with two shades so you can find what works for you, plus I get darker in the summer and lighter in the winter so it's nice to have both. Also, at Sephora they can match your skintone.

4. Does it have a natural look to it?

100% natural. People have no idea you are wearing makeup and it looks like you just have awesome skin. I get a lot of compliments on my skin now, even though I sitll have a little acne from my PCOS

5. Is it worth the money?

Every penny. And it lasts a LONG time! I would say get the starter kit because it comes with the 2 shades, mineral veil and warmth. I've been using it for a year and I have only bought one additional foundation (in a large size) and the mineral veil, so its nice not to buy everything individually. Plus you get the brushes!

It will definately help with the eye circles and they have another product for that called bisque which is perfect.

THe photos they show in the commericals are exactly what it looks like on, its really flawless. Doesn't look caked on at all. And the oiliness of your skin will get better when you start using it. Get it you will like it!

After reading all of these posts, I think I'll have to try the Bare Escentuals for myself too! My dbf often complains that I look "overly made up" (using conventional liquid foundation) and prefers a lighter, more natural look for me. The BE mineral make-up sounds perfect for obtaining that natural look!

I also have oily skin, so I'm looking forward to trying it for that reason as well.

The skin clinic I go to recommends Jane Iredale mineral make up...is there really a big difference between Jane Iredale and Bare Escentuals? The staff there tell me that Bare Escentuals is not as good as Jane Iredale. The Jane Iredale make up is very high-end but also very expensive. BE is not cheap either, but seems more affordable than Jane Iredale. If anyone out there is familiar with both make-up lines, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts about both.

I've used both. IMO, the only thing I like better about JI is that it's in a pressed form. Other than that, I like BE better.

And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the nighttime treatment Rare Minerals. I didn't have bad skin to begin with, but after a month of using Rare Minerals every night, my skin was FLAWLESS.

I also really love the blushes: Glee and Trudy.

Keep an eye on QVC, because they get great deals on BE color kits. The single items are generally the same price as at Sephora, but the color kits are frequently mega-bargains, and sometimes colors that are exclusive to QVC for a period of time.

The BE Buxom lip glosses are also really good.

(Can you tell? I love BE?)

(I also LOVE Make Up Forever)

Wow, Kat, the BE cosmetics line sounds great! I'll start checking out QVC for any upcoming BE specials. The chain cosmetics megastore Ulta carries BE, too, but I'm sure they don't have the special pricing that's offered at QVC.

Just one question: Is the product "Rare Minerals" a nighttime cream offered by BE? My skin has cleared up nicely thanks to an improved diet, more exercise, and Metformin. However, it could still use some improvement as there's some residual acne scarring and pitting left on my face.

I'll have to check out "Make Up Forever" as well (I'm definitely a make-up junkie...LOL!).

I love it! I have been using for, hmmm... probably about six years now! It is the best makeup I have ever used, and I actually get compliments on my face now.

1. I rate it a 10/10.
2. I use it for coverage and oil control.
3. They do have dark shades.
4. It looks VERY natural. It also feels natural. After wearing it, it is hard to put on liquid makeup because it feels like I am smearing goo into my pores.
5. Absolutely worth the money. Although, I admit to buying a lot of mine off of Ebay (new, unopened) to save money.
6. I don't know if I have a before picture handy, but I will try to find a picture so you can see what I look like wearing it.

As far as using concealer for your dark circles, Bare Minerals makes a powder concealer that works AMAZING.

I Rare Minerals. It makes my skin look and feel amazing, and my pores are much less noticeable after use. I also have their blemish therapy stuff (can't remember what it's called, but it has sulfur in it or something, stinks!), and it works really good when you get a big ole' zit.
