Last night i was watching BBC iplayer on line at 3am this morning when all of a sudden my computer was crawling with a virus, luckly i have a really good anti virus program that even if it can't get rid of it all it lets you know its there.
So it took me three hours to finally clean and reboot the computer.
I know virus can come from any where but i just thought i would tell you because my next door neighbour went also on to the BBC iplayer site and has totally lost all screen activity on her laptop through a virus.
Just thought i'd let you know.

i don't really know i've let them know but haven't been on since (little nervous) I got off likly only cleaning the softwear for three hours compared to my neighbour.
I should think they have by now, i can't think of were else it came from as I have such strong firewalls.
I have had the computer for three years and not one virus so i guess i've been lucky really.
I am going to watch a show later tonight on it i'll post back if all went ok.

goodness! thanks for the warning. I have used iplayer before, and it made my laptop wayyyyyyyy slow. Ive got Norton, thanks again.

I have used it today and it seemed to have been sorted ,well sorted on this broadband line.
So i am just keeping all my security on top level when i use that site for a while.
