Default BBC seeking help with PCOS feature

Hi everyone..

I'm a PCOS sufferer, and also a journalist for BBC News Online.
www.bbc.co.uk/news

I've managed to persuade the editor of the Health section to let me do a feature on the difficulties of conceiving with PCOS, and I wonder whether any of you lovely ladies would be interested in being the focus of my piece.

I think it's incredibly important to spread the word on this.. and I promise that any piece will be sensitive and accurate.

All that would be involved would be a telephone interview, and the sending of a photo or two to accompany the piece.

Let me know if you'd like to be involved...

Is it safe to assume you're only looking for women on your side of the ocean?

not necessarily - it's an international site, so as long as the time difference wasn't too awful for an interview, and pictures could be scanned in and sent, it wouldn't be a massive problem...

Well, if nobody else is interested, I may be - though I didn't have the problems many women have conceiving, probably because I managed to get a great doctor when I was still a pre-teen...I'll hold out unless you don't get many hits

I would be happy to help if you need me to. I live in the States, but visit the UK often. My husband is originally from Hertfordshire.

Tory,

I am very interested in participating.

I live in Seattle, have been married for 13 years and was finally diagnosed with PCOS at 36 years old (2 years ago).

After over a year of IF treatments resulting in an ectopic pregnancy last year my husband and I are now persuing a domestic infant adoption through a local Seattle agency.

We have been approved since October and are waiting to be matched with a birthmother.

The frustrations that I have faced in my own journey to become a mother are ones that I think others could learn from. I basically diagnosed myself on this board 2 months before a RE diagnosed me with PCOS. I think back over my years of suffering with awful periods, unexplained weightgain and two terrible D&C's that were never fully justified to me.

If I can be of help please feel free to email me at lesliecran@hotmail.com.
