Question BBT after a D&C?

For anyone that charted after a D&C did you notice that your temps were really erractic (even 6 weeks later) when you previously had been a bit more stable (I know that my stable temps was due to the Met and I'm still on same amount)?

TIA!

I was not charting when I had my D&C, but I would suspect that it may take a while for your homones to get back to normal. I would think that by 6 weeks they would be leveling out -- especially while on Met.

Looking at your chart, is midcycle spotting common for you? That could be a progesterone thing or a cervix thing.... I'd call my Dr to ask about it.

**

Although, with my "natural" m/c, my temps (even without Met) leveled out pretty quickly. I'm back on the met now and not ovulating at all, having horrible night sweats, and getting a rashy look on my cheeks and chin, but that's another whole issue probably.

I haven't had an annovulatory cycle in over a year. Of course, when I start the met, that causes one. I am frustrated.

Hi Jules -

thanks for the reply! I think that by 6 weeks that the hormones should be leveling out as well. Guess I'll have to break down and call drs office.

Actually I never spot at all midcycle. If I did bring this up with my dr should I just tell them about the midcyle spotting and no AF yet? What could be up with the progesterone thing or a cervix thing?

You know you mentioned the rashy look on your cheeks area - do you think it might be rosacea? The reason that I ask is that I many PCOS women can get it and I have it and I hate it. Yet usually your dr can prescribe a cream or gel to apply to your face and it really helps out.

Thanks!

Well, the rashy thing just started in the last few days... and I just started the Met again about 1.5 weeks ago or so I think. It's only on my face and accompanied by some chin pimples. I was just informed by someone in another part of the board that the little pamphlet that we are supposed to get with all meds (but sometimes they don't provide them...grrr.... ) says that a rash is a side effect that should be reported to the Dr so I will be calling him if it isn't markedly better tomorrow.

I'm not sure where I was reading it, but if you have midcycle bleeding it could be a sign of low progesterone or a cervix that is too soft. I was curious about it because I had spotting about 3 days before AF showed up and I was concered about it. It was my first AF since my recent m/c so I wasn't incredibly concerned about it.
