That's what YOU think Tina! If I really am in my 2WW I have 42 (yes, forty two) of those early-pregnancy-tests.com pregnancy tests that I am going to be peeing on in the next 2 weeks!!!
But yes, I am a chart stalking addict too To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
17 more days isn't bad. I still have to make a new patient appt with an RE, so I'll either get O and/or AF by then or I'll probably be at/past the 40 day mark.

Hello! I've never explored this section of the forums before (since I'm not looking to conceive). But I've been charting for a while, because I'm looking to ovulate, lol.
This looked like the place to ask questions. See, I've been baffled about my last cycle. Currently, I don't ovulate (as far as we know), so my docs have me on progesterone every cycle, so I bleed out. But this last cycle, I noticed a little jump in temperature, along with other symptoms (sore breasts, etc.) a few days before I started my usual progesterone.
I know it's probably nothing, (just me wanting to see things that aren't there), but could someone look at my chart and give me an opinion? (Please note days 18, 21, and 24, because that's where I got the progesterone, which always makes my temperature go up.) I was mostly puzzled around day 14, because I've never, ever hit 98 degrees without a progesterone shot before.
Do you think it's possible my hormones were doing something at least?? (Any sign of variation is hopeful to me, lol.)
My chart: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Tradertif--it looks like you very well could have O'd that cycle. It looks to me like a there is a temperature shift. Maybe you could have the Dr do bloodwork before your next progesterone shot to see if you are O'ing on your own.
Welcome to the thread!! There have been other women who have hung out here for the charting aspect rather than the ttc part To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

My doctors always look at my charts. (Actually, they wouldn't even see me until I had 6 months of charts for them to look at, lol.) So if they want more bloodwork soon, I'll do it......but I'm hesitant to ask for more, since my insurance doesn't cover any of it, and it costs a FORTUNE to get done. (Even more, because my doctors are all the way out in Omaha, and they want to run the tests there, so I have to pay to ship my blood out there.) Tina, If you're making an appointment with an RE you may be better off having an annovulatory or a late O cycle. It would suck if AF came right before the appointment andyou had to waste the cycle. This way the RE can do any test she wants and you can start fresh To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Tradertif, I agree that you could have O'd that cycle on your own. Would you mind giving us a little more of your history? Are you looking to TTC soon and that is why you are wanting to ovulate? To help you ovulate and regulate your cycles you may want to ask about getting metformin...
Hey ladies... I just wanted to get on here and say:
Ddeanie (sorry if I spelled wrong- going by memory)- In some women Met on TOP of Clomid does increase the chances of getting pregnant. It's worth a shot!!!! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Met alone helps women get pregnant.
We seriously need some BFPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, I'm not looking to conceive anytime soon. (Although, if I ever get married, then that would change very quickly, lol) I'm just looking for ovulation, since that seems to be the goal of my doctors, and an indicator of health, and all that.
My history? First period at age 12, and would you believe the first two periods looked perfectly normal? And then, POOF, it was a year before I bled again. And I started bleeding erratically, but lightly. My parents took me to doctor after doctor, all of whom suspected PCOS, but refused to offer anything but birth control pills. (Which I won't take, for various personal reasons.)
When I was 18, I had my third actual period. (And it was a terribly heavy, painful, long one.....which makes sense I guess.) The erratic bleeding continued, becoming more constant all the time. By the time I was 22, I was bleeding (spotting) every day.
So, last year (age 26), I finally got in touch with some experts out in Omaha. They had me chart for 6 months, before going out to see them. While I was out there, I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and D&C. Plus, they found a polyp in there and removed it. After healing from the surgery, the constant bleeding stopped. (YAY!!!)
They started me on metformin, and gave me progesterone injections to take every cycle. (That's another reason I keep watching for ovulation, so I can time the injections right.)
I'm always nervous that I'll miss it, because I've never ovulated while I was charting, so I'm not totally sure what it will look like. Also, my docs use the Creighton method, so they don't use the morning temps, just the mucus observations. (But I keep taking my temperature, because I'm curious). My mucus observations have always been all over the place, so I'm really unconfident that I would be able to distinguish ovulation from that alone. I'm only on 500mg/day of the Metformin. I suspect my doctors will raise that dose in the future. (They prefer the "slow and gradual" treatment approach, lol.)
They should definitely think about increasing your dose of Met. Met alone regulates many cysters. My coworker has PCOS and ha irregular periods. Since going on Met she has 28 day cycles.
Like Tina said, stick around the thread even though you're not TTC. Maybe we'll be able to determine if you ovulate this cycle and you wont need the progesterone. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
btw, bravo on wanting to regulate yourself... I was very irregular for many years but only tried to "fix" myself when I wanted to TTC. I should have started much sooner.
