There are special themometer's to track BBT. They have more decimials in the reading because the temperature changes are small. There is a chart and instructions that come with the themometer. Basically it says to take your temp before you get out of bed every morning at the same time. When you O, your temp goes up and stays up until your period begins. Toni Weschler has the best book about this topic: Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I highly recommend it. It has samples of charts to look at, too.

A lot of cysters use the web site Fertility Friend to chart. I use it. It's not always especially accurate for cysters, but it's very useful.

Use a bbt instead of a regular thermometer: it's far more precise.
