Unhappy BCBS Tonik?

I am leaving my current job (and insurance) but new job does not offer insurance. Is anyone familiar with BCBS Tonik plan? I am really getting worried after reading several posts about pre-existing problems. I'm concerned that I am making a mistake leaving my job, but I HATE it & feel the new one will make me happier. I just don't know what to do! What do I have to look forward to with PCOS, as far as number of dr visits per year? I just wonder if it is safe to go without coverage? I don't want to neglect this as I have been for years...it was 9 yrs since my last pap b/c of the no insurance thing. I finally got ins, got dx, & now will be back to the beginning. Help!

Unless you're going in for regular 'fertility' issues, related to PCOS, I would not have pcos written into my records.

If they're addressing high androgens or hisutism - tell your doctor to use the codes for that.

If they're addressing insulin resistance - tell your doctor to use the codes for that...

Going without coverage? I would highly discourage it if you're financially able to carry it.

Yeah, I kinda figured I'd get that response...I guess I will have to suck it up and do what I gotta do. Hate to use the extra money I am getting at new job for insurance but oh well. Thanks for the advice on using different codes too. That is a good point.
