I used yasmin bcp for a few years and it reduced my acne a lot. I ahve not tried other bcps to comment on them.

I was on tri-sprintec for a year and it did nothing for my acne. I'm only on day 2 of yaz and I have heard that it helps with acne. I sure hope it works!

I was on Dianne-35 for years, then switched to the generic Estelle.

My acne was greatly decreased during my 8 years on it, but my complexion was still not perfect and I would often have 3-4 cystic pimples on a regular basis, that were hard to get rid of.

I was on Minulet for 12 years before TTC and it did wonders for my acne! Within weeks coming off it I would notice a difference, 1500mg of Metformin a day has helped while TTC but I can't wait to get back on Minulet in a few (hopefully!) years time!

I've been on Diane a few times in the TTC journey and I haven't noticed an improvement. I've been on it for five weeks currently and my skin is very oily and no different to being on Metformin alone.

I am on Dianette, but have only been taking it for a month so far. My skin is noticably less oily but I'm going to have to wait a few months to see if my skin clears up.

No sorry... but be careful with bcp's they can make symptoms like insulin resistance and hair loss worse in the long run..

Do have ance bc of elevated androgens? Have you tried an anti-androgen or a nautral remedy like B6 and Zinc?

^Minulet improved my hair, it fell out when I came off Minuet and is thinner now. I think everyone reacts differently to everything, probably trial and error and a good doctors opinion is the way to go.
