Default On BCP but no period - is this possible?

Hi all,

I used to take Lo-Ovral BCP, but last month I was switched to Tri-Phasal. I was getting midcycle bleeding with the Lo-Ovral and the gyn said that Tri-Phasal would prevent that. Which it did, thankfully.

So I've taken all 21 days of active pills. Saturday was the last active pill day for me. And now it is Friday and still no period. Is this possible? Has anyone else had this happen???

The bad part is that I've had definite PMS symptoms since Sunday. I've had two migraines, breast tenderness, and that feeling like I could cry over just about anything. Not fun!!!

If anyone has any advice or experience in this kind of situation, please let me know. Thanks.

It is possible...some women have really light or no periods when they're on the pill. Did you miss any days of pills when you switched? You might want to take a preg test just to be sure.

I have been on bcp's for over two years (two different pills during that time) and my periods have recently started later and later. They used to come on Wednesday and now they come on Saturday, but they've always ended on Tuesday. My gyno said it was normal.

I don't know anything about the particular pill you're on, but I was on Ortho Tri Cyclen at first and I couldn't tolerate it. A lot of cysters have had problems with tri-phase pills.

Well, I bought the pregnancy test and I'll take it just in case, but I doubt that's the case. I'm going to start my new pack of pills on Sunday, like normal, and I guess this will be the month with no period. Very odd!

Thanks for your help.
