BCP and hair loss

Hi,

I think I've posted more than 10 new threads in other forums about my hair loss since 2 months ago.

but I think I finally know what has caused my hair to shed crazy like this.

In January I started taking bcp hoping to find a cure for my acne.I started with Yasmine ,for a whole month I had extreme nausea and couldnt eat anyhting.
second month my Dr put me on alesse which was no help and I was constantly crying for no reason.finally my Derm suggested me togo on diane 35 which she believed it would be the best for acne.I was such an idiot the pill completely destroyed me.I finished the pack and never touched it again.
this was all ended in April.couple of months later in june my hair started to fall out and I wasnt thinking it could have been these pills I did all the tests,all normal,went to so many doctors and all they said was its male pattern hair loss,androgen and bull****...the funnyest thing is that my body hair has gotten less and even the blood tests asre showing normal androgen so I knew it cant be that.
its been 3 month now that my hair is shedding alot I think I have loss about half of my hair.I've cut my hair short but nothing seems to help.
plus this month AF didnt show up eventhough I took progesterone pills for 7 days there is still no sign of it.
I'm hopeless and I dont really know how long the hair loss is going to last.
there are so many articles about bcps and hair loss and that you need to wait for about 6 months before you see any decrease in shedding.

please,if anyone had such an experience (post bcp hairloss)tell me how long the shedding did last.

hello i responded to a pm you sent me but i don't think you got it because i can't send private messages for some reason but i left it on your info page....i'm on the pill i haven't stopped taking it but since i started my hair is definitely thinner and shedding more.

yes I finally saw your pm today.well my hair was alright when I did start bcps and 3 months later boom my hair started to shed like crazy.
all I know is that I don't do well on synthetic hormones especially on those with anti androgen.I think my receptors are to sensitive I mean look people take saw palmetto and dont even see a change in at least couple of month.I took 19 pills 320mg and yup after 3 weeks my facial hair and body hair was 90% gone.can you believe this.
I went to my derm the other day and she told me its more likely the pills have caused the shedding.and for some reason I realized y hair gets worse the first day on my period.I'm still searching for the answer estrogen or progesterone...lol
however my androgens are normal so if yours is high then I think you should stay on what ever your on yaz+spiro,probably for a long period since when you stop it you hair will shed more.

haha me too! how weird, when i'm about to get my period and while i have it my hair falls out so much more. i really want to stop taking the pill but everyone is like your hair will go through ANOTHER shed when you come off it and i'm terrified since my hair is so thin as it is..it also REALLY pisses me off that i started taking the pill and spiro to correct the problem but it only made it worse. it's been a waste of time money and lot's of getting upset.

well...thats what I'm worried about.its been 3 month already and I haven't seen any change in the amount of shedding.
my hair is getting thicker but still falling thou
I'm hoping to end this nightmare with natural remedies,I'm still hoping eventhough I've given up for most of the time.
