It could have been just a "fluke" that your BP was so high on that day. If you had a rough day or something, that could explain it. Doctors don't consider you to have high BP with just one reading, it is the average over time.
HOWEVER, when I was on bcp's for only 5 weeks, my BP went to 150/100 and I was having stroke-like symptoms (killer headache on one side that woulnd't go away, tingling/numbness on one side, and vision trouble). My doc told me to stop the bcps immediately.
Does a local pharmacy or store have one of those do-it-yourself BP machines that you can try? They aren't that accurate, but they can give you an idea of your BP. You and your doc should keep a close eye on this if it wasn't just a "fluke".
