Hi ladies.
Just want to ask for some advice. I was put on meteformin when i was DX and have come off it since and have no plans to go back onto it. However my periods are so unpredictable. And i feel like I should be on some for of medication.
However my doctor said she wouldn't prescribe me BCP as its a risk for obese patients. But I dont understand this I've see a lot of people around me on it that are obese and there are no complications. Does anyone know what I should do? I want to go on the pill but dont think my doctor will let me! Stupid I suppose!

I'm obese and on LoEstrin24. The doctor's that have put me on various BCP's have never said anything about me being at risk because of my weight. I've never heard anything like that before. I would talk to your doctor. Maybe he/she will surprise you. It's worth asking if you really want to be on it.
