Ok so the Dr put me on Yasmin little over a week ago. So here is my questions
Did anyone else who has taken this pill had really bad nausea, sore bb's and get real tired a lot?
I just want to make sure that these are at least semi-normal side effects. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance ladies.

When my dr put me on it last year it threw my hormones for a loop. I don't know if it was because they were "regulated" for the first time or what but I was an emotional wreck. And it did give me af-like symptoms, but no nausea as far as I can remember. Also, Yasmin has a mild diuretic effect so you will probably start peeing like crazy soon. I really thought I was insane until I talked to my boss (he's a pharmacist-I work for Walgreens) and he said it was a s/e of the med. My ob/gyn actually took me off of it because of the way it made me feel. Good luck and hope it gets better.
I had all the s/e you're having. Check the insert that came in the box of pills. I believe you're having normal s/e and they should decrease with time. HTH

I used to be on yasmin. Compared to the other birthcontrol method i used (Nuvaring), yasmin was not as "bad" for me. I mean I didnt get that sick from it. It helped a lot with the cysts on my ovaries. Last time i had an ultrasound my ovaries did not have any cysts. yea!!!! I think It (the clearing up of cycts) was mostly from yasmin, which helped regulate my periods.
The only thing is that BCP is said to increase our chances of becoming insulin resistant.
Good luck!

I am in the exact same boat as you. I just started Yasmin about 3 weeks ago and the s/e still have not subsided. My Nausea is a little bit better...but its definelty still there. I remember for the first week and a half my boobs felt like they were going to fall off lol! It also made them HUGE. Strange how bcp can sometimes cause pg symptoms. My acne is getting out of control! I thought Yasmin was supposed to help! Anyone else experience this?
I am on my second week of taking Yasmin and I am having the same thing. Exhausted and nauseous all the time. I have to take my pill right before I go to bed or I'll be running to the bathroom all day thinking I'm going to throw up. Just takes a while for our bodies to adjust to all the hormones. My doctor also told me it would help with my acne. From my experience, things get worse before they get better. Try to be patient, it sucks, but hopefully everything will even out.
I get a nauseous feeling, but I've had that my whole life. As for being tired and sore breasts, I have that too. Thought it might just be me, but I guess not. I'm actually on the "fake" pills right now, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
I havent been nauseous from Yasmin at all. The first few days I was so tired, felt like just dropping down and sleeping all the time but that passed over the first week.
When it was time for my first AF to appear, about a week before hand my boobs were so sore! But that just happened with the first AF.

I've been on Yasmin for 4 days and I haven't really noticed any s/e yet. I did get some really minor, short headaches for the first 2 days but that could also be from taking Met.

i'm on my first pack of yasmin. i also started taking spironolactone the same day i began yasmin (yasmin contains around 25 mg of spironolactone which is what gives yasmin the diuretic effect). so far i've gotten sore and swollen breasts, but this has subsided some. i've been extremely emotional, and my skin is drier. the diuretic effect is noticeable, but not too bad. i'm thirsty a lot. i broke out a little bit after taking yasmin the first few days, but i've never had an acne problem so it's not really bad. i've been really tired as well. watch your potassium intake with yasmin, and stay hydrated. also, when i've taken BCPs in the past they made me mega bloated. yasmin has not made me bloated at all. quite the opposite actually. i've also lost a little weight i think - which isn't good for me beacuse i'm already too thin. hope this helps
