Default BCP's causing infertility??

Has anyone heard of long time BCP use causing infertility? I have just been told this and now I am worried. I have only been on them for a year and was only planning on staying on them until I get the rest of my weight off hopefully by this time next year and the start TTC. Now I am worried that I should get off of them. I mean conceiving is already stacked against me with PCOS and now this.

I had not heard that, and don't think I believe it. What I had heard was that birth control pills mask PCOS symptoms and can aggrevate insulin resistance in many PCOS people.

Actually I have heard it more than once. I heard it along time ago but forgot about it and then I just heard it again. I was just wondering what anyone else knew about it. I too knew it could mask the symptoms of PCOS and just read about making insulin resistance worse. That in itself is enough to stop them. I am thinking about stopping them since I have lost 57lbs, I am walking 3miles a day, taking 2000mg of metformin and chromium picolinate. All those things help with insulin resistant. I was hoping all of that might would allow my body to have a period each month. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
