Question BCP's and effectiveness with pcos

My MD put me on ortho tri cyclen to regulate my periods as a result of the pcos. It's also an added benefit that i dont have to worry about unwanted pregnancy as much. Because my hormone levels are lower than "normal" from the pcos, does that mean that the birth control pills are less effective to prevent pregnancy because they only bring me up the the "normal" level of women without this syndrome?? Thanks in advance for the help!!

brith control pills are still effective in preventing birth in people with pcos. its theire job to stop ovulation and for the majority of the time they do. theyre like 99% effective if you follow the directions, or so they say
