Question BCP while TTC

Scenario: I ovulated 3 times this year but no "o" or "af" since April. After 2 cycles of Clomid I wanted to take a break, because I got really really sad about the BFNs. Anyhow, I went in over the weekend for bloodwork and got the results yesterday. My RE wants to give me Provera so that I shed my lining and bring AF on and then begin BCPs for 1 cycle and then go back on Clomid.

Question: Do you think I should skip the whole Provera thing and ask about jumping right into BCPs...maybe for 2 cycles? I ask for 2 reasons: One is if BCPs truly "reset" the hormones, wouldn't 2 cycles be better than 1? Two it seems like such a waiting game, wouldn't skipping Provera move this whole TTC thing up one month?

Thanks
