Hi,

I've been researching for sometimes and can't figure out why my acne gets better when I'm on the BCP's sugar pill!

the pill did absoloutly nothing for my acne,however they gets only on that last week before my coming period and as soon as I start a new pack,same story acne all over again....

Does anybody know which hormone drops during the active pill week?

I'm currently off the pill and my acne is getting worse so I'mtrying to approach this with some herbs.
I'm just not sure which hormone to attack vitex for progesteron or sage for estrogen?
my blood test came back normal,however that was one month after going off pill soI dont think it was accurate.

My acne becomes worst the week before my period so I'm not sure what to tell you. It might be cause the sugar pills don;t have any hormones in them so find out what hormones are in your BCP and go from there.
Also, I'm pretty sure I read that taking Vitex while on the pills is a big NO. They work against each other. Might want to look that up cause I might be wrong.

thanks actually this happens when I'm on the pill.
usually my acne get worse before my period if I don't take the pill thats why I was wondering what would be reason.

I knolw Vitex shouldn't be taken while you are on BCPs since it boost up your progesterone ratio
