Question are bcps for me

I am glad that AF has started coming, but I still am going longer between cycles. I have started keeping track and they keep getting later and later. I have had my tubes tied over 6 years ago so I don't need them for that, but I am thinking I want them to regulate my cycle.

What do you all think? Should I or not?

Thanks for any advice!

My advice is to do what you feel comfortable with! If you feel its the right path to take and your doctor agrees then try it out. The period you recieve on BCPs isnt really a period, rather a BCP induced period. BCPs can effect PCOS symptoms, it only acts like a mask. Once your off most often symptoms come back with a vegence. Are you on any other meds at the moment? I've heard many have success regulating with metformin, you should check out some of the other methods for regulating too. I'm sure some cysters out there have great advice! Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am on Met. It has helped me get my period. I had gone over 6 months without one and it has helped, but part of me wants to be more regular, but then again I too have heard that PCOS symptoms can be worse when you come off them. I guess I need to do more research and think about if it is worth it.

Again, thank you!
