I have successfully taken oral conts for 8 yrs: 1st desogen, then Yasmin.

I have almost zero problems with them. In fact, they completely cleared my skin, thickened my hair, and I feel great.

Only in the past couple of days have I read that migraine headaches are a risk factor for stroke, as is taking the pill. Alone, neither risk is very significant, but together it is larger.

I have spoken with my ob/gyn and he feels the risk is minimal.

I get migraines about 1x per month during inactive week.

Are any of you guys taking the pill and having migraines, what do your docs think? Please advise.

(PS are there any other successful treatments for symptoms other than pill? Im not taking for birth control)
